Welcome to Gold Canyon Hearing
Welcome to
Gold Canyon Hearing Center
Gold Canyon Hearing is the premier hearing aid center supporting residents in the East Valley, including Gold Canyon, Apache Junction, Mesa, East Mesa, Superior, Florence, Show Low, Globe, and Miami, Arizona.
We are committed to providing hearing aids that work for you, or adjusting your existing hearing aids to make sure you have the fitting you need. We carry all six major hearing aid brands and can help you find your way to the right hearing aids for you.
Many times, people get hearing aids and are unsatisfied with them: either they don’t work well, cause painful spikes in volume, whistle (feedback), or otherwise become a source of frustration rather than enhancement. Chris has been dedicated to the cause of improving hearing with hearing aids for decades. Whether you are new to hearing aids or have been wearing them for a while, make an appointment with us at Gold Canyon Hearing and we’ll make sure your hearing aids are doing the job you need from them.
Hearing Aid Repair
At Gold Canyon Hearing, we repair all major brands of hearing aids, in or out of warranty, whether you purchased them from us or somewhere else. The dry Arizona weather can be good for hearing aids, but for those who spend a lot of time outdoors, increased moisture from sweat can be a problem. If your hearing aids aren’t working as well as they used to, bring them in and we can take a look to see if they’re in need of cleaning or repair.
Many people can benefit from fitting adjustment. We’ll talk with you when you come in about how your hearing aids are working, and we may recommend fitting adjustments that can help your hearing aids do more of what you need from them. Hearing loss profiles can change over time, or some fittings may have been done without the appropriate attention to detail. At Gold Canyon Hearing, we’re dedicated to making sure that everyone’s hearing aids work exactly as they’re supposed to.
Chris has been working in local hearing centers, managing clinics and working for some of the largest hearing aid manufacturers in the world for nearly 20 years. When he was employed at Phonak and Signia, he trained local audiologists and hearing care providers on the programming software at work in their hearing aids. No one understands the way hearing aids work better than Chris, and he can help you make sure your hearing aids have the right programming to provide the best amplification for you.
Veteran Services
Hearing loss and tinnitus are the two biggest medical problems facing returning veterans. We have seen instances where veterans are not able to schedule enough time for follow-up treatment at the VA.
We are proud to support our veterans by offering programming and treatment adoption programs. A comprehensive treatment plan that includes proper programming, verification, and necessary follow-up visits is essential for getting the best results from your hearing aids with your hearing healthcare.
Hearing Aid Fittings
“Fitting” is the process of programming your hearing aids to work with your individual hearing loss profile. At Gold Canyon Hearing, we use state-of-the-art methods and careful, conscientious attention to detail to make sure your hearing aids are perfectly fitted to do exactly what you need from them.
While your hearing test results provide the information to perform an initial fitting, we know this is just the beginning of the process. We’ll work with you carefully to make sure your hearing aids perform at their best before you leave the office. If you notice any problems when using them out in the world, we will adjust them before you give up on them!
We see people on a regular basis who have received a sub-par fitting from another retailer. Chris has spent years working closely with hearing aid designers and programmers to gain a deep knowledge of how the software inside hearing aids works. Chances are, if you are unhappy with your hearing aids, we can work with you to get them fitted properly. If you’re wearing hearing aids and you’re not happy with them, come and see us!
